The first stage of the ambitious ArtArmor charitable art project was conducted by the team of our volunteer center Ukraine For Heroes together with the McCann Kyiv agency and art curator and art advisor Iryna Yuferova, and the team of Studio “Kvartal 95” Artem Gagarin Mykhailichenko.
On Defender’s Day, the closed Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station became the venue for the presentation of the unique ArtArmor project.
Famous Ukrainian artists, including Tybery Silvashi, Nazar Bilyk, Petro Bevza, Andriy Bludov, Yuriy Vakulenko, Yuriy Vakulenko, Oleksiy Sai, Svitlana Ratoshniuk, Anton Logov, Leonid Kolodnytskyi, turned the armor plates that saved the lives of our soldiers in battles into art ob objects with exclusive stories.
Thanks to this creative approach, armor will save lives for the second time, because the funds from the sale of art objects will be used to purchase new personal protective equipment for our military.
The next stage of the project’s development will be the involvement of world artists and international art institutions to hold charity auctions.
ArtArmor is supported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
